NOTULE VAN DIE BESTUURSVERGADERING WAT GEHOU IS OP
DINSDAG 9 NOVEMBER 2010.

2.      Notule van vorige vergadering:
a.       isn’t making clothes anymore, but emphasis that it’s easier if one person makes the clothes.
b.      Thanks for bringing a cupboard
c.       Must look at next work day.
d.      swap GB  roles
e.       We must look after Guests renting the hall. They hire just the hall, new contract needed for anything else. They haven’t formally requested.
f.       Structure files and clean up data.
g.     IsTeam viewer free
h.     Telkom laptop.

1.      Korrespondensie:
a.       respons to the district about the 2 days that everyone has off, we have to motivate which days we will work, we start the 18’th instead of the 19’th. We have 28 and 29 April off  but will question why we   13 of January for Educators and 17’th for learners.
b.      Budget plus minutes hand in to EMCD director on 1 Dec.
                                                              i.      reminded us that minutes of ALL official meetings must be kept.
2.      Pastor's report:
a.       Gave pastor’s report recently and children write an unknown test tomorrow. High school will do an outreach for “Huis Silver jare”.
3.      Finance:
a.        a letter must be written to the parents to meet any one of the governing body with Principal during school. The issue is that parents don’t respond or communicate back not so much that they don’t pay. They must sign as to which actions they
4.      Principal report:
a.       Panasonic copy machine has failed. Looking for quote to rent. has a small Xerox that needs repairs
b.      Printing of home-work books. Used for 6 months and then parent gets 1 for the next 6 months.  Must we do it ourselves? It’s too expensive to print ourselves, If StickALabel isn’t cheaper we’ll go with Evergreen  (40c per page).
c.       Student numbers Grd R= 7, Grd 1=6,  Grd2, 3, 4 =18 (only space for 15), 14   Grd8-10 (10) +rest (9) =19 (grade 1take 3 or 4 from Grade2?). 60 in total. Not all of recent their re-enrolment. one of the parents wants to pay over 12 months. ; Must be in writing to the GB. Written request from a parent to pay over 12 months. This must be communicate to the staff, that they must write in to request for 12 months.
d.      If a new comer suddenly arrives will there be paces for that child. No, too risky. Unwise to keep stock in store, late comers are not our fault.
5.      Fundraising:
a.       We need a meeting with the parents who will form part of the FUNDRAISING COMMITEE , so that we can advise the GB what we are going to do next year. We will make contact to discuss this meeting, of forming the committee (asking each Teacher which parents can be approach).
b.      All are in favour to work with Bethesda and Corpus Christi on Fundraising events.
6.      Marketing:
7.      Chairman’s report:

8.      Maintenance:
a.       Work day; 27 November
b.      we can put up a priority list for the maintenance
9.      Outreach:
a.      Friday’s meeting was a success IS 26. A member wants to make a commitment to do it once per month and submit to Pastor as spiritual leader. Doesn’t just want to make it an outreach to the youth, since the parents were just as ministered to. 150 people attended.  Need age restriction. Not a baby-sitting, where staff will be looking after children. Wants to keep it outside. It’s again KINGSWAY children that were not co-operating (sitting outside).  Each group present must have a responsible person to discipline their own group of children. Idea was to do something different every month. We will need to set dates so that the youth groups can plan.
b.      FIRST FRIDAY MONTHLY.?
c.       Next meeting will be 1 Dec ’10.
d.
e.      What about the costs? Outreach committee Will take it upon themselves to raise sponsors for anything (like drinks). Must be communicated that there are no refreshments available.  Just emphasising the point that making money is not wrong, so if we decide to make money, that’s not wrong. But we Must have the freedom to request a charge if need be.
10.  General:
A parent has made money available for the school. We  told this parent we need it for tiles. Hence why we need a priority list. The person was supposed to be directed to Kobus.
d.       CONSTITUTION
                                                              i.      Definitions must be added as an appendage at the end.
e.       SPONSORS: Disadvantaged must write a letter to charities like “Gerald Write”  to apply for sponsorship for a learner. School can also approach organisation to sponsor disadvantaged children. INDIVIDUAL CAN GET LIST  & THIS MUST BE PART OF THE AGENDA FOR NEXT TIME.

a few Minutes of 2011 Budget meeting
Held: Tuesday 19 October 2010.

Pastor : Gal 6:6
Message: Out teacher impart real life and good things to our children.
Our teachers invest into our children, those that teach our children must also benefit. There are other ways to invest in our teachers to say thank you.
OPENING PRAYER
Senior Convention Feedback;
Thanks those who prayed for their trip to Bloemfontein.
Not a burden to go with the children, it’s a blessing.
Really received something that will last through the years to come; so too the children. Make use of the opportunities to get involved. The children were a blessing!

1050 children participated athletically in PTA. Our children were better prepared, but need more attention RE; coaching.

Grade R increase only 6% to encourage enrolment.
Parents must ensure fees are paid before the 7’Th of each month.
Grade 1 children coming from Grade R will still pay R325 for registration.
Registration and diagnostic fees were kept low to also encourage new enrolment.
